I was somewhat apprehensive with some of the client choices in both the material and colour palette in this project but sometimes you've just got to run with it. It wasn't so much the choice of material but the contrast in terms of light and shade. I shouldn't have been so apprehensive - the result is a rich, warm and dynamic sequence of spaces to the remodelled and extended ground floor.
A fumed oak floor to the front reception rooms contrasts with the polished concrete of the kitchen and the colour of the island unit link with that of the double doors to the reception room. Wortops in stainless steel and walnut along with a splashback in individually arranged marble tiles complete the material palette to the kitchen.
Completion Date August 2013. Contract Period 24 weeks.
