Martyn has almost 30 years of architectual experience behind him since graduating from Manchester Polytechnic in 1985. The early part of his career was spent predominantly in the retail sector. Projects ranging from the refurbishment of Libertys on Regent Street to large scale urban masterplanning projects in Rotterdam and Vienna. Martyn worked in architectural practice for Fitch, BDP, Greig and Stephenson and before setting up his own business, was Head of Architecture for retail design company 20:20.
Since 1999, Martyn has specialised in residential design and established Martyn Clarke Architecture in 2003. The practice has attracted wide coverage in various publications such as The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Evening Standard, Living Etc and Homes & Gardens and has been featured in Construction in the Build Environment's (CABE) publication, The Home Buyer's Guide, and Channel 4's programme, Homes and Property.
